Abstract:
Industrial Nanotech, Inc. (Pink Sheets:INTK), an emerging global leader in nanotechnology based energy saving solutions, reported today that the Company's Nansulate® thermal insulation and mold resistant coatings provide effective insulation and protection for boats and sailboats and effectively reduce interior cabin temperature.
Nansulate® was recently used in the restoration of a 30 foot Bristol 29 sailboat, with a reported interior cabin temperature reduction of 13 to 17 degrees Fahrenheit after the standard recommended three coat coverage. Nansulate® provides a clear, thin film insulation alternative that doesn't add weight or bulk and provides additional resistance to mold and moisture.
"Nansulate® coatings are a perfect insulation for boats of all types," explained Francesca Crolley, V.P. Business Development for Industrial Nanotech, Inc. "Nansulate® has been used in a wide variety of applications on both pleasure boats and commercial fishing vessels to insulate effectively and provide additional resistance to mold and corrosion. Nansulate® has been used in commercial fishing boats on the interior hull area to help keep the ice pack, where the fish are kept, from melting as quickly. In a recent case study which we received from the owner of a Bristol 29 sailboat, the Nansulate® HomeProtect Clear Coat was used to insulate the underside of the cabin and deck to keep the interior cooler. Using a thermometer, the sailboat owner recorded that the temperature was lowered from 105 degrees F on a hot, sunny Florida day to 88 degrees F where the Nansulate® was applied. Our patented, award winning product offers multiple benefits for marine insulation applications: a clear finish which can be used over surfaces without changing their look, excellent thermal insulation in a thin film layer, ability to resist mold growth and moisture infiltration, prevention of corrosion, and resistance to UV rays. Not many insulation options can do all that, plus fit into any size space without adding bulk or weight."
