Abstract:
Play the iPhone app for a chance to win a fantastic holiday for 2 with Discover The World
A team of researchers from the London Centre for Nanotechnology and the Thomas Young Centre have developed an iPhone application; a game called 'Waterfall'. It's available for free from iTunes or via: www.koolistov.net.
The game is described as follows: "The ice caps are melting, you have to rebuild them one water molecule at a time! Waterfall is a simple, fun, and highly addictive game that teaches you about ice and nanoscience."
The game was developed for UCL's exhibition at this year's Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition, entitled 'A Molecule's Eye View of Water'. During the exhibition visitors to the stand will have the chance to play the game and compete for the top prize of a fantastic holiday for two to the ICEHOTEL in Swedish Lapland with Discover the World.
See www.chem.ucl.ac.uk/ice/exhibition.html for more information about the game and exhibition.
