Univ project: A watch to alert diabetics on insulin level
Abstract:
In the future, diabetics may be able to get alerts about insulin levels in their blood with a nanotechnology-enabled wristwatch that will emit beeps to remind them to take their medication and alert their hospital as well. The University of Madras will take up the project jointly with three Japanese universities at its new 'Nanotechnology Lab', set up with a grant of Rs 50 crore from the government of India, vice-chancellor G Thiruvasagam said on Friday.
