Abstract:
Sterlitech Corporation New Line of Toray Flat Sheet Reverse Osmosis Membranes - Now Boasts an Exhaustive Variety of Superior R&D Membrane Products
Sterlitech Corporation, one of the largest producers of bench scale equipment for flat sheet membranes used in research and development labs throughout the globe, is pleased to announce the addition of Toray Membranes to its line of flat sheet products. The addition of Toray Membranes, which focus primarily on the reverse osmosis process, is viewed as a much-needed addition to the specialized Sterlitech product line that also includes Koch Membrane Systems membranes for ultra-filtration processes and GE Osmonics membranes for reverse osmosis, nano-filtration, and ultra-filtration processes.
According to Sterlitech President Mark Spatz, the decision to incorporate Toray Membranes into the product line was "a natural progression." He stated, "Research institutions and major companies are continuing to focus on refining reverse osmosis technology by reducing energy consumption and improving membrane efficiency. The combination of Toray Membranes and Sterlitech's bench test equipment will enable researchers to explore more opportunities." Mr. Spatz also conceded that the move was an important one for the Sterlitech bottom line. He said, "In expanding our offerings, we're offering more solutions to a broader range of applications in an attempt to meet all of our customers' needs."
Toray RO membranes are ideal for standard and low-pressure brackish water testing, as well as for testing standard and high flux seawater. All of the Sterlitech Corporation flat sheet membranes are compatible with their own bench scale equipment including their HP4750 stainless steel stirred cell, CF042 test cell, and Sepa CF II cross flow cell. The new Toray membranes will be offered in sheets 18" x 18" as well as precut pieces ready to use in Sterlitech's bench scale research equipment.
