IT minister assures Tamil Nadu students of placements
Abstract:
Information Technology Minister Ms. Poongothai Aladi Aruna, while addressing students after inaugurating a research centre for Photonics and Nanotechnology and Centre for Research and Development of Free and Open Source Software at Sona College of Technology, urged them to sustain a positive attitude towards job placements as the industry shows signs of growth.
Agriculture Minister Veerapandi S. Arumugam suggested that nanotechnology offered tremendous job opportunities as huge investments have been made in the subject across the world.
The Government of India and the Tamil Nadu Government also allotted funds for research in this field.
Inspiring students to take up research in the field of nanotechnology, he said that, "Nanotechnology applications were used in a number of fields like medicine and biotechnology."
