Home > Press > Freestone Clarifies Differences Between Petrozene and Their New Nanotechnology EncapSol Product
Abstract:
Freestone Resources, Inc. (OTCBB: FSNR) would like to clarify that the Company's two products, Petrozene and EncapSol, are completely separate solvent technologies.
Petrozene is a petroleum-based chemical technology that breaks down asphaltenes and paraffin waxes, lowering the viscosity of heavy crude oil for more cost-effective and lower-friction oil transport in pipelines and tankers. EncapSol is a non-flammable, non-odorous, non-toxic product of deliberate molecular engineering and chemical nanotechnology.
EncapSol was designed and built as a customized-molecule that was purposely engineered with the unique ability to attract, encapsulate and remove hydrocarbon molecules from virtually any material, and do so in an environmentally friendly, clean and cost-effective way as opposed to other competing technologies.
In both laboratory and commercial-scale research and development operations, the EncapSol solvent has repeatedly proven and demonstrated its effectiveness to cleanly extract heavy oil from sand, clay, rocks and water using very little energy (see: EncapSol.com/media).
EncapSol works on a nano-scale molecular level. EncapSol's ability to attract hydrocarbon molecules causes multiple EncapSol molecules to surround the hydrocarbon molecule with sufficient attractive force so as to effectively overpower the molecular bond that binds the hydrocarbon to sand, clay, rock and water molecules, thus releasing and freeing the hydrocarbon from these other forms of matter. EncapSol then encapsulates and suspends the hydrocarbon molecules within the low-viscosity EncapSol solution, which is then processed in our solvent recovery machine that separates the oil and fully recovers the EncapSol solution for reuse in the process.
EncapSol can also be used as a downhole enhanced oil recovery injectant. EncapSol can be pumped as a liquid or vapor into an injection well, and due to its low-boiling point the EncapSol will transform into a gaseous state and expand throughout the formation seeking out and freeing trapped oil deposits (see: EncapSol.com/downhole-eor/). The same attractive force of the EncapSol molecules that separates the oil from oil sands and oil shale, occurs deep within the oil producing formations.
EncapSol offers the oil industry a potentially superior method to dislodge and recover stranded and immobile original oil in place (OOIP) in a trans-tertiary method that the oil industry currently cannot recovery cost-effectively. The Company intends to test various enhanced oil recovery methodologies using EncapSol in order to find the best protocols of operation for maximizing contact between the EncapSol molecules and the targeted oil molecules stranded in many different formations. These proposed tests include testing EncapSol in conjunction with steam injection, water flooding, and CO2 flooding.
