Abstract:
Vincent Associates®, the manufacturers of UNIBLITZ® shutters, announces that this year they have achieved 40 years in business. This milestone has been made possible by continuing to provide quality state-of-the-art electronic shutter products within the Photonics industry. Founded by Andrew W. Vincent in 1969, the company continues the tradition of focusing on their core competency, shutters and shutter drive systems.

Vincent Associates® Commemorates 40 Years of Quality Shutter Solutions

Rochester, NY | Posted on September 22nd, 2009

The UNIBLITZ® shutter is based on an electro-magnetic actuator. The actuator is the basis of the shutter design, whether it is our constant force linear actuator, developed by Andrew Vincent or the newly patented NS series (Non-Contact Actuation System, N-CAS®) recently developed by the Vincent Associates® design engineering team. All of these designs provide shutter devices that are powered open and return closed without power (uni-stable type) or pulse to open and pulse to close (bi-stable type), providing solutions to the most demanding applications.

The company continued to develop further innovations after Mr. Vincent's retirement in 1984 with the purchase of the company by Kevin Farrell and Stephen Pasquarella. The company has grown to be internationally recognized as "the source" for precise, well-engineered shutter systems. Over time, UNIBLITZ® has been able to create three distinct product lines with a wide variety of models to suit the following applications: I/C manufacturing, motion picture, television, camera system products (including visible and infrared applications), microscope systems, laser systems, telescope systems and a host of specialty and custom manufactured devices for the Photonics industry.

With the experience that 40 years in business provides and the numerous products manufactured, Vincent Associates® continues to innovate and meet customer needs with the continual refinement and ability to modify "flagship" products (i.e. the VS and LS devices) for exacting customer applications. In addition, the new N-CAS® NS shutter series and the soon to be released N-CAS® DSS series, Vincent Associates can integrate low cost and high reliability for a new era in Photonics applications.
