Frank Ignazzitto Joins QD Vision as Vice President, Government Business

Watertown, MA | Posted on September 14th, 2009

Ignazzitto brings 23 years of experience to QD Vision, and has an extensive background in the energy industry, as well as in business-to-government marketing strategies. He will oversee QD Vision`s government business sector and manage relationships with all federal agencies and related channel partners.

Prior to joining QD Vision, Ignazzitto was Vice President, Government Sales at ReliOn, Inc. where he directed the sales and marketing of alternative energy technologies to government agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Energy. He also managed more than 50 turnkey energy installations for federal and state customers. Previously, Ignazzitto spent 14 years at Mobil Oil Corporation in various international marketing positions. As general manager for Mobil`s Marine Division, Asia Pacific Region, he managed a $170 million business across 17 countries. As a graduate of West Point, Ignazzitto also has prior military
experience.

Government agencies and the military have many emerging applications for our nanomaterial technology," said Dr. Dan Button, president and CEO of QD Vision. "Frank`s government sector experience in various roles, including general management, business development, federal sales and marketing, technology introduction and channel management is ideal for this position."

QD Vision this year announced its first product with Nexxus Lighting, designers of an LED lamp that integrates a QD Vision Quantum Light optic with cool white LED`s to produce color-rich, true- incandescent, warm white light. The Nexxus lamp is expected to be three times more efficient and last up to 25 times longer than comparable halogen lighting alternatives, and will be commercially
available in early 2010. QD Vision also holds development contracts with several government agencies.
