Walker Sanders: It's time to be remarkable
Abstract:
The second accelerator is the intellectual capital at our area colleges and universities. We must capitalize on our centers of higher learning -- promoting the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, a proposed School of Pharmacy, the expansion of the N.C. A&T College of Engineering and others. Anything we can do to build on our intellectual property that comes from our colleges and universities will act as major accelerators. This cannot be done with private money alone and will take private influence and public resources.
