Abstract:
Ideal-ist, the international partner search network for Information and Communication Technology opened its online partner search tool for the ICT Policy Support Programme 2009 Call. It also provides this well-established and successful partner search tool for ARTEMIS and ENIAC. Proposers to these Calls will be helped to find appropriate partners for their project by the Ideal-ist network.
Ideal-ist is the most successful international partner search network for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) projects in the EUs 7th Framework Programme (FP7). This unique online partner search tool helps proposers to find appropriate partners for their consortium. Within the first two years of Framework Program Seven (FP7), more than 500 coordinators had used the partner search facility on the Ideal-Ist website. On average each initiated partner search received 40 replies.
For the first time Ideal-ist offers its partner search service to the ICT Policy Support Programme (or ICT PSP). With the launch of the third call for proposals, which opened on 29 January and closes on 2 June 2009, ICT PSP aims at stimulating innovation and competitiveness through the wider uptake and best use of ICT by citizens, governments and businesses. The 3rd call for proposals has a budget of 99.5 million EUR and Ideal-ist focusses on the improvement of cooperation with other networks, organisations and initiatives.
"We are flexible. We offer our well-established and successful partner search tool to other networks and want to make it easier for proposers to find appropriate research partners for their ICT-PSP, ARTEMIS and ENIAC proposals." says Mohsine Chefki, coordinator of the EU-funded Ideal-ist project.
The Joint Undertakings of ARTEMIS and ENIAC aim to tackle the research and structural challenges faced by the industrial sector in the areas of Embedded Computing Systems and Nanoelectronics. The second Artemis Call 2009 opened on 26 February and the deadline for submission of Project Outlines is 15th April 2009. The second ENIAC Call for Project Proposals is expected at the end of March 2009. Ideal-ist Partner Search service previously supported ARTEMIS and ENIAC in the 2008 Call.. As a result many consortia were formed.
