Abstract:
HamaTech Advanced Process Equipment (APE) GmbH & Co. KG, a member of the Singulus Group and an established market leader of semiconductor equipment, today announced the release of the HMxSquare, a new photomask processing system with 20 years of proven results. Responding to the need for a reliable, cost-effective system, the HMxSquare combines the unparalleled track record of HamaTech's HMx-Series platform redesigned to deliver the lowest cost-of-ownership in its class.

HamaTech-APE Introduces Low Risk HMxSquare Photomask Processing System

STERNENFELS, Germany | Posted on December 17th, 2008

"Our customers in mask shops, R&D institutions and semiconductor fabs asked for a system with unquestionable dependability built new for today's processing needs and we listened. Since its introduction in 1990, the HMx-Series has been the workhorse for photomask processing in mask shops around the world." said Wilma Koolen-Hermkens, Chief Executive Officer of HamaTech APE. "The HMxSquare combines the performance of the HMx-Series platform with the latest advancements in design and cleaning techniques to deliver a low risk solution for our customers."

The first HMxSquare system was shipped in December to German-based EPCOS AG, a leading manufacturer of electronic components, modules and systems for the automotive electronics, information and communications technology, industrial electronics and consumer electronics industries. EPCOS compared the HMxSquare with conventional systems in its class and confirmed that the HMxSquare delivers the highest reliability and performance for their business requirements.

The versatility of the HMxSquare makes it suitable for small lot processing of special substrates in institutional environments and with the latest environmental and safety requirements, a state-of-art electronic control system, redesigned software and sophisticated cleaning techniques the HMxSquare is a low-risk back-up option for advanced processing. Unrivaled reliability and an extended lifetime, ensures that the HMxSquare has the lowest cost-of-ownership over any other conventional system. The system is built new with advanced manufacturing techniques by the experts in photomask processing equipment.

Over 250 HMx Series systems have been installed and are operating in mask shops around the world today.
