Hawaii, HI, July 22, 2008 -- uBoost Inc, a student recognition program, has been selected as a 2008 FireStarter company by the Strategic News Service, host of the influential Future in Review (FiRe) technology conference.
"We have selected 10 businesses - top startups or businesses with new startup technology - for world promotion, based on nominations by trusted strategic investment SNS Members, as part of this pioneering program at FiRe 2008. These are businesses which we, and those businesses who nominated them, believe will change our world in a positive way. They are businesses we believe you should know about. Hosted by Mark Anderson, founder and publisher of the Strategic News Service, the FiRe conference exposes world experts and participants to new ideas in a manner that produces an accurate portrait of the future in technology, including nanotechnology, space travel, biology and medical diagnostics, policy, and other fields that contribute to technology outcomes.
"We are pleased to be associated with the premier student recognition program in the US and look forward to following their success. We strongly believe from our 20 years in tutoring that reinforcing positive learning behaviors can result in positive outcomes for students. We have never seen a company think through what it means to reinforce positive learning and then to deliver the catalyst like uBoost," says Mark Anderson, Strategic News Service.
The FiReStarters program was created to recognize businesses that are believed to improve the world. It invites a select number of SNS Member investment firms to nominate businesses for review. Only ten companies are chosen and spotlighted by this organization. uBoost's FiReSpotter is VC Partner, Michael Pfeffer who also serves as a Managing Partner of Kolohala Ventures.
"We are honored to be selected as a FiReStarter company and to receive an invitation to participate in the Future in Review (FiRe) technology conference. Through technology, uBoost can help bridge the gap between students, educators and parents and improve the way students view their education," says uBoost CEO, John Bower.
