![]() |
Abstract:
Leading nanotechnology development company mPhase/AlwaysReady (OTCBB: XDSL) announced today plans to present and exhibit at the upcoming nanoPower Forum, hosted by the Darnell Group, Wyndham Orange County in Costa Mesa, CA from June 2-4, 2008.
This conference is expected to give AlwaysReady an opportunity to make inroads within the energy harvesting technical and investment community. Much emphasis at this meeting will be focused on ultra low power systems -- an emerging industry which aligns well with the AlwaysReady product roadmap and developing technology. According to the Darnell Group, "Depending on the application, energy harvesting devices will provide the primary power source or will be used to supplement on-board batteries. Up to a quarter of all portable electronic devices, including mobile phone handsets, MP3 players and laptop computers as well as wireless networking devices, will employ some form of energy harvesting within the next few years."
The second annual nanoPower Forum is a focused three-day international conference that will serve an audience of decision makers who are interested in learning about and contributing to the latest practical advancements related to the energy harvesting needs of "ultra-low power" (ULP) systems. According to AlwaysReady CEO Fred Allen, "We feel that the Smart NanoBattery can be a real asset to ULP devices being deployed for wireless applications such as mesh networks, wireless sensor and control systems, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), radio frequency identification (RFID) devices, and other power technologies."
AlwaysReady CTO Steve Simon will discuss the Smart NanoBattery and its value in the energy harvesting arena in a presentation titled, "A Reserve NanoBattery for Low-Power Wireless Sensor Systems" on Monday, June 2, at 1:30 pm PDT/4:30 PM EDT.
