INO signs a cooperation agreement with a major German partner

QUEBEC CITY, Canada | Posted on May 28th, 2008

The three-year cooperation agreement between INO and BLZ involves the
field of photonic micro- and nanotechnology. Among its aims are joint research
and innovation activities in areas of common interest through theoretical and
practical experiments. Scientific professional development activities for
groups of experts working on various projects are also planned.

"We're happy to be able to match up our expertise with that of BLZ, a
research institute with an international reputation thanks to its innovative
industrial applications. The convergence and complementarity of our activities
in photonic micro- and nanotechnology led us to sign this agreement that will
enable us to enrich Quebec's tremendous scientific capital and unique
expertise in these fields. It testifies to our resolve to develop in the area
of optics and photonics and to make technology and solutions available to
entrepreneurs and industrialists, so that they can improve their competitive
position," declared Jean-Yves Roy.
