These exclusive features include nano-engineered hulls, decks, and liners; the brand new Super High Output engine, the largest displacement motor ever in a personal watercraft at 1812cc; Cruise Assist, which allows the operator to set and maintain a desired speed; and No Wake Mode that sets the engine at optimal no-wake zone speed.

Yamaha SHO WaveRunner Wins Boating Industry's Top Innovation Award

Miami, FL | Posted on February 16th, 2008

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and Boating Writers International today named the Yamaha SHO® WaveRunner® as the winner of the prestigious NMMA innovation award. The judges cited the SHO's many industry-first features that include the world's first boat hulls and decks engineered using nanotechnology.

A panel of judges from Boating Writers International chose the Yamaha SHO from hundreds of products displayed at this year's Miami International Boat Show.

"Our all new SHO WaveRunner has raised the bar in terms of the technology and performance consumers can expect from a personal watercraft," said Bryan Seti, Yamaha's national marketing manager. "This award recognizes several important innovations -- our 1812cc supercharged engine, use of nanotechnology in the hulls and decks, and exclusive features -- that can only be found from Yamaha."
