Q&A: Semiconductor Research CEO
Abstract:
Q A significant amount of money is going into nanotechnology research. How is that affecting the funding gap?
A One of the things we have noticed is that over the last three years, the industry has doubled the amount of research money it is spending to take CMOS to its limit. Yet governments throughout the world have decreased their investment by about 20 percent. Why is that? The reason is that they are trying to think ahead and they are putting more and more money, like the United States is, into nano-electronics.
