Details: Nanostellar CEO Pankaj Dhingra will join a list of distinguished panelists at the World Economic Form in Davos, Switzerland, to address the entrepreneurial opportunities created by global warming. The panel, which takes place January 24, 2008, will turn its attention to the opportunities that the development and growth of "green" initiatives can play in job creation and economic stimulation. Titled "Green Jobs: Putting Climate Change to Work," the panel will explore the prospects for job growth in different industries and regions, and the roles that business can play by partnering in investment and skills development. Bjorn Stigson, president of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, will act as moderator. Other panel speakers include Richard Lambert, Director-General, Confederation of British Industry (CBI), United Kingdom; Guy Ryder, General Secretary, International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), Belgium; Juan Somavia, Director-General, International Labour Organization (ILO), Geneva; and Achim Steiner, Executive Director, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Nairobi. Pankaj Dhingra has more than 25 years of experience, including managing a technology startup and a $650 million global automotive components business. His functional experience spans finance, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing with Delphi, General Motors and Unisys. During his tenure at Delphi, he managed the company's automotive battery business and delivered substantial revenue and profit growth. Prior to joining Nanostellar, Pankaj served as President of Ener1, Inc.'s Energy Division, an alternative energy technologies company. Pankaj has BS in Electrical Engineering from India and MBA in Marketing and Finance from Columbia University.
