GreenShield Named First Low Fluorocarbon Treatment

Abstract:
GreenShieldT is manufactured using only water-based solvents in a process that utilizes green nanotechnology to eliminate waste and reduce energy use. Textiles with the GreenShieldT finish will be available through fabric and furniture distributors and manufacturers.

"This is a real break-through for the textile industry. The balance between the performance requirements of fabrics and the need to lessen the impact of those fabrics on the environment and human health are extremely important to the specifiers and consumers of textiles," said Dr. Joseph Bringley, G3i's chief technology officer.
