ZAP has packaged its battery technology exclusively for Canadian Tire under the "NOMA Pocket Power Charger" brand. The new product hit stores in September along with "Demomercials" on Canadian television highlighting the simplicity of ZAP's battery systems. ZAP also makes a line of rechargeable battery systems designed exclusively for the iPod called iZAP. The systems include 13 adapter tips for a wide variety of rechargeable devices. Schneider uses the ZAP power packs when he travels to avoid what he calls "The black screen of death," what happens when you lose power on your cell phone or PDA on a business trip: loss of the Web browsing, E-mail, cell service and text messaging. Schneider says that the typical business traveler takes three different power adapters for their mobile devices when they travel; families traveling on vacation take an average of eight adapters.
