Proposed military spending bill includes millions for Ark.

Abstract:
Pryor, a member of the Armed Services Committee, praised the proposed appropriations for the universities. One such proposal, $2.5 million to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, would fund research of biological sensors that could protect people from bacteria, viruses and biological weapons.

"I'm pleased my legislation to move nanotechnology research from the lab to the battlefield was also integrated into the bill," Pryor said.
