Sensors Expo to Host Guided Expo Floor Wireless Tech Tours to Connect Buyers and Sellers

NEWTON, MA | Posted on May 22nd, 2007

Questex Media Group, Inc. today announced that guided wireless tech tours on the expo floor will be offered at Sensors Expo, the leading event in North America focused exclusively on sensors and sensor-integrated systems, to connect buyers with the technology solutions they need to accomplish their goals and objectives. The wireless tech tours are free to all Expo attendees. Sensors Expo & Conference will be held June 11-13 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

"The tours are ideal for attendees to gather a lot of information on a specific technology area and compare several key suppliers, all in a short period of time," said Debra Brown, Event Director, Sensors Expo & Conference.

The wireless tech tours will begin on Tuesday, June 12 at 1:00 PM and run every half hour through 3:00 PM. Attendees will participate in an expert-led guided tour of participating exhibitors featuring wireless sensor networking products and solutions. Each tour will begin in the lobby area near the main registration area.

The wireless tech tours will be led by Randy Frank, President of Randy Frank & Associates, Ltd., a consultancy that focuses on power, sensors and automotive electronics. Frank has a long history with sensing technologies. He has tracked the explosion of wireless technologies in sensing and other applications and was actively involved in the introduction of highly integrated semiconductor products such as sensors that used microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology and smart power ICs. Frank taught Advanced Instrumentation and Control at the University of Michigan. He is also a Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and IEEE Fellow, author of several book chapters, the book Understanding Smart Sensors (2nd Edition) and editor of the book Occupant Detection and Sensing for Smarter Air Bag Systems.

Sensors Expo & Conference will be co-located with the International Robots & Vision Show, North America's only event focused on robotics and machine vision technology.
