Nanotubes win out in performance sport
Abstract:
Ice-hockey, baseball, skiing and now floorball benefiting from carbon nanotubes.
Floorball - a fast growing indoor version of hockey - is the latest performance sport to harness the unique advantages provided by carbon nanotubes.
Finnish specialist composite company Exel is developing an ultra- light floorball stick - similar to an ice-hockey stick but much lighter - using Bayer MaterialScience's Baytube carbon nanotubes.
