During that time, Dr. Sant worked in a variety of industries, including electronic materials, biopharmaceuticals, ceramic coatings, capital equipment, data storage, semiconductors, and wafer processing, developing and transferring new processes to manufacturing. For his work, he was awarded three U.S. and worldwide patents for creating an antimicrobial nanocrystalline coating that applied antimicrobial therapeutic agents in a solid form on burn dressings that was among the first commercial nanomaterial in the biomedical field.

Dr. Sant obtained his B. S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Rourkela, India. He received his M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering and his Ph.D. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Queen's University at Kingston, Canada.

Prior to his new position, Dr. Sant held the following senior level management positions: Director of Technology for PowerMetal Technologies, Carlsbad, Calif; President, Twin Technologies, Garden Grove, Calif.; Technical Manager, OpticNet Inc., Hayward, Calif.; and Manager, West Coast Applications Lab, Veeco Inc., San Jose, Calif.

Dr. Sant has delivered numerous conference presentations, and also has collaborated on scholarly articles that have appeared in prestigious peer reviewed publications such as the Journal of Applied Physics, Philosophical Magazine and Acta BioMaterialia.

"We are extremely fortunate to have recruited such a well rounded and well known person in the scientific community to help guide the potential future of Senz-It," said World Am Chairman & CEO Robert A Hovee. "Sudhi Sant brings a level of accomplishment that hopefully will be enhanced in his years with us as a key member of the Senz-It team."

Said Dr. Sant: "Opportunities like this sometimes only happen once in a person's life. I enjoy the challenges of commercialising technology, and the products that Senz-It is developing are at the cutting edge of nanotechnology. Senz-It is intent on building a world class organization, and I am honored to have been asked to be part of what appears to be a company on its way to greatness."
