Nanotechnology steps into automobile accessories segment
Abstract:
Nanotechnology has reached the automobile accessories segment. Huper Optik International Pvt Ltd Singapore is bringing to India its nano ceramic technology in its sun control films. This patented technology developed on Germany is being positioned as an alternative to conventional dyed, metallic and powder coated window films available in the market.
"The nano-ceramic window films rejects more than 99% UV rays, 70% solar energy and were 100% dye and metal free," Tan Kian Huat, director business development, Huper Optik, said Unlike conventional films, the nano-ceramic films do not succumb to fading, blistering, bubbling, cracking or peeling which is what I noticed in the cars enroute from the Mumbai airport to Pune, Huat said. He sees a big opportunity in the Indian market for this high end window film product.
