Abstract:
Learn industry methods from your desk, conference room, or auditorium without the hassles of travel. The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST) will offer a new three-part online education tutorial, Risk Assessments, in the first quarter of 2007. Each session is available as a stand-alone course, a two-part series of your choice, or a three-part series.

Risk Assessment Methods in Cleanrooms Online Tutorial

Rolling Meadows, IL | Posted on December 12th, 2006

Risk Assessments play critical roles in today's cleanrooms in helping solve contamination problems. This three-part series will focus on the basic concepts of four methods in three one-hour sessions. By understanding the advantages and limitations of these four methods, attendees can apply the "best" method to their contamination control problems.

The first part will be on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. (CST) and will focus on Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). The second part will take place on February 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. (CST) and will cover the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Fishbone risk assessment methods. The last part will conclude with a discussion on March 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. (CST) related to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)

Instructor Anne Marie Dixon holds a BS in finance from the University of Illinois, a BS in engineering from the University of Nevada, and an MBA from the University of Chicago. She is owner and president of Cleanroom Management Associates, Inc., a consulting firm based in Carson City, Nevada that specializes in competitive benchmarking, training, and auditing of clean and aseptic operations and management. Dixon has been actively engaged in the field of contamination control for more than 25 years, with extensive experience in the areas of cleanroom operations, training, technical writing, strategic consulting, facility start-up, construction protocols, and process optimization.
