Clothes Might Double As Latest Source Of Solar Power
Abstract:
Konarka Technologies and Textronics are developing clothing that could double as a source of energy. The goal is to create designer outfits that tap light rays to power personal electronic devices. "We envision being able to print (power plastics) in patterns — to place them in the reoccurring patterns of fashion brands," Daniel McGahn, Konarka's chief marketing officer, said. "In this way, we could literally create the power of the brand."
