Nanox launches sampling of its Nanoxite™ Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Products

Nanox

October 17, 2005

Nanox Inc, a Quebec based emerging advanced materials company, is currently sampling its first Nanoxite Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) formulation that exhibits superior performance over existing commercial technologies at significantly reduced platinum levels. Using its robust, patented Activated Reactive Synthesis (ARS) Technology, the nanostructured catalysts are engineered with unique structural features and high surface areas that enable higher catalytic efficiency at lower temperatures without sacrificing durability performance.

These innovative catalysts are simple perovskite-based oxide materials with the strategic active sites anchored by common rare earth and transition elements. The Nanoxite products can readily be incorporated into manufacturing processes used in the catalyst industry today. Leveraging this “perovskite advantage,” these nanograin perovskite-based catalyst formulations address the need for improved catalyst performance at low temperatures while simultaneously reducing platinum group metal dependency. With state-of-the art catalyst test and application capabilities, the Company has already embarked on completing other advanced catalyst formulations.
