Abstract:
Advanced nanotechnology opens up new markets
NANOIDENT AG, the leader in organic photonic sensors,
presents the world’s first high-resolution, organic semiconductor-based photonic sensor
for high-volume industrial applications. The 256-pixel sensor, with 50 x 50 ěm pixel size
and 250 dpi resolution, sets the new global benchmark for organic photonic sensors. The
product represents a new class of sensors, with unique technical features and extremely
low production costs set to revolutionize the marketplace. Flexible, ultra-thin and largearea
organic photonic sensors promise to open up entirely new market segments as well
as succeeding in existing markets for silicon-based sensors.

Breakthrough in sensor technology
Organic photonic sensors represent a breakthrough in the commercialization of
nanotechnology-based semiconductors. “This market promises incredibly dynamic
growth, reminiscent of the arrival of silicon semiconductors 40 years ago” says NANOIDENT’s
CEO Klaus G. Schroeter. And NANOIDENT is leading the way, with the world’s first
nanotechnology-based organic sensor solutions for high-volume applications such as

micro-structured electrodes and photoactive semiconductors. “Organic semiconductors
can be processed in liquid form like printing ink. The use of innovative printing processes
