CIA company invests in Montreal biotech firm's detection technology
Abstract:
An American venture-capital company funded by the Central Intelligence Agency has invested in a small Montreal company to help develop its expertise to detect chemical and biological weapons. IatroQuest Corp. has signed a funding contract with In-Q-Tel, a private financial group funded by the CIA whose mission is "to identify and invest in companies developing cutting-edge technologies that serve United States national security interests." Bio-Alloy, is a convergence of biotechnology, advanced semiconductor materials, nanotechnology and photonics.
