DNA May Bring Life to Future Computers
Abstract:
The microchip of life might enliven computers and electronic devices of the future, say researchers at Purdue University. Albena Ivanisevic, an assistant professor of biomedical engineering, and Dorjderem Nyamjav, a physics graduate student, have devised a way to place strands of DNA on a silicon chip in precise configurations and then to stretch out the strands for easier reading of their encoded information.
