Nanoparticles spy on molecular binding
Abstract:
Scientists at Ludwig-Maximilians University and Roche Diagnostics in Germany say they have created the first single metal nanoparticle sensor based on light-scattering spectroscopy. They demonstrated the technique using a gold nanoparticle functionalized with biotin to detect the presence of the protein streptavidin.
