Benetton adopts Philips' RFID technology for 'smart' labels

Abstract:
Philips Semiconductors' RFID chip will be embedded into the label of every new garment bearing the name of Benetton's core clothing brand, Sisley. Philips estimated that it will ship 15 million RFID chips to Benetton in 2003.
