The HZO Protected Tolino Vision 2 eReader |
Abstract:
HZO, Inc., the total solutions leader in submersible thin film protective technology for any kind of electronic assembly, device, component or sensor, announced today that it has partnered with Deutsche Telekom to integrate its powerful waterproofing and corrosion resistant technology to the premier Tolino Vision 2 eReader.
The device was unveiled October 8, 2014 at Frankfurter Buchmesse in Frankfurt, Germany, with Water Protection by HZO as a marquis feature. Unlike other electronic devices and tablets that promote water safety but require users to securely fasten a rubber door on ports and headphone jacks, the HZO Protected Tolino Vision 2 eliminates the risk associated with mechanical seals that can bend, break or be improperly installed by end users.
HZO collaborates with product designers and manufacturers of electronics to apply its protective nanotechnology exclusively to the components inside devices while they are being assembled. The partnership with Deutsche Telekom allowed HZO to protect the new Vision 2 eReader with a technology capable of going beyond the defined testing standards of IPX7 and IPX67. HZO Protected electronics allow full water ingress while keeping devices safe from damage caused by water, rain, steam, dust, sand and even submersion.
"We are honored that a well respected global company like Deutsche Telekom chose us to protect the latest version of their premium, Tolino Vision 2 eReader," said Sergio Leveratto, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at HZO. "With potential to reach over 100 million consumers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, the scope of this relationship is an important step forward for HZO, and further proof that when implemented into product design, our scalable solution provides powerful and differentiating protection for device makers, while enhancing the experience for users of those products."
HZO's collaboration with Deutsche Telekom is the first of its kind in Europe, and the announcement acts as the platform for HZO's continued global expansion. The Tolino Vision 2 will be available for consumers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland both at tolino.de and at premium booksellers, putting HZO on a flagship German product that continues to capture new market share in the region.
