Abstract:
Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced the publication of new content on graphene and materials science, including Graphene: Properties, Preparation, Characterisation and Devices by Viera Skakalova and Alan Kaiser. Carbon nanotubes, graphene and nanomaterials are emerging and increasingly important materials with many applications in medicine, computing, optics, energy and materials science.
Graphene: Properties, Preparation, Characterisation and Devices is a comprehensive resource for academics, materials scientists, and electrical engineers. The book explores the graphene preparation techniques, including epitaxial growth on silicon carbide, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), chemical derivation, and electrochemical exfoliation. It also presents the characterization of graphene using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), and Raman spectroscopy. Editor Viera Skákalová is a member of the Faculty of Physics at the University of Vienna, Austria. Editor Alan Kaiser is Emeritus Professor at the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences, and the MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology at the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
The new content includes the following books:
Graphene: Properties, Preparation, Characterisation and Devices by Viera Skakalova and Alan Kaiser
Carbon Nanotubes and Graphene by Kazuyoshi Tanaka and Sumio Iijima
Materials Science and Engineering of Carbon: Fundamentals by Michio Inagaki and Feiyu Kang
Emerging Nanotechnologies for Manufacturing by Waqar Ahmed and Mark Jackson
The books are all available on the Elsevier Store and on ScienceDirect, Elsevier's full-text scientific database offering journal articles and book chapters from over 2,200 peer-reviewed journals and more than 25,000 book titles.
