Abstract:
The seven companies which participated in the Hygiene and Health Zone of Iran Nano 2013 Festival presented their latest achievements in producing nanotechnology-based drugs.
All products in the field of hygiene and health that have been commercialized and presented to the market, have acquired the Nano Scale Certificate and confirmations from Nanotechnology Committee of the Health Ministry.
Exir Nano Sina Company is a knowledge-based company which produces drugs. It has so far produced three drugs by using nanotechnology.
Doxorubicin hydrochloride liposome (an anti-cancer compound) under the commercial name of Sinadoxosome is the name of the drug presented by Exir Nano Sina Company in this year's festival.
The drug is used in the treatment of ovary cancer, breast cancer, multiple myeloma cancer, Kaposi's sarcoma cancer, and in the treatment of patients who suffer from AIDS. It is currently produced in association with Sobhan Pharmaceutical Group. The company has produced Amophleish drug too, which is used in the treatment of leishmaniasis.
Sina Ampholeish drug is waiting to acquire the certificate from the Health Ministry and it is expected that the drug, which is in the form of gel, would be presented to the market within three months.
