Home > Press > NanoFinder: explore nanotechnology applications in each industrial sector!
![]() |
Abstract:
As a Key Enabling Technology, nanotechnology is a source of growth and jobs in all industrial sectors. Nanotechnology contributes to design a new energy economy, to improve resource efficiency in industrial production, to develop smart and high-performance products or to build an intelligent connected world.
However, already existing nanotechnology applications are still unknown to lots of small, medium or even large companies.
To highlight already existing applications relevant to each sector, the NanoThinking team has just launched the NanoFinder!
By exploring this interactive tool, every company can now identify the key products and services proposed and commercialized by nanotechnology manufacturers.
To enhance the visibility of their technology, Nanotech manufacturers are also invited to improve or add the description of their own application !
This interactive tool presents the contribution of nanomaterials and nanotechnology to each industrial sector.
More than 500 applications have been selected according to their technology readiness level. They are mostly commercialized today by start-ups.
This tool is collaborative: researchers and industrials are invited to bring precisions on each nano application (via the scrolling menu) and also to add new applications (thanks to the "add your application" button).
We took this initiative in an independent manner after having realized that nanotechnology applications are insufficiently well-known by companies. However, innovation through current nanotechnology applications is already feasible to gain competitive advantage.
