Abstract:
Dave Arthur, CEO of SouthWest NanoTechnologies, Inc. (SWeNT®), a world leader in high quality, Single-Wall and Specialty Multi-Wall (SMW™) carbon nanotubes (CNT), will address TechConnect World's 2013 Nanotech Conference & Expo on May 13, 12:15 pm at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in Washington DC. The TechConnect Conference runs from May 12 to May 16
Arthur will be discussing single-wall and specialty multi-wall carbon nanotubes for electronics and composites applications. In addition, he will be reviewing SWeNT's core technologies, product portfolio and strategies for commercializing CNT materials for selected electronics and composites applications, including printed/flexible electronics, conductive plastics, next generation carbon fiber and ultra conductive copper.
SWeNT currently produces solvent-based and aqueous inks that incorporate SWeNT's Single-Wall CNTs (SWCNTs). Combined with SWeNT's unique ability to tailor the synthesis of CNT materials for applications (using its patented CoMoCAT® process), the inks enable customers to print large area, low-cost devices for a wide range of applications including affordable printed electronics, flexible displays and photovoltaics.
SWeNT's V-series inks eliminate the need for subtractive patterning, and contain no volatile additives such as dispersants or viscosity modifiers which require secondary processing to remove. These solvent based inks are currently available for screen printing and rod coating, while flexographic and gravure versions are being developed. 'V-Series' inks are based on V2V™ technology developed by alliance partner, Chasm Technologies, Inc.
SWeNT's A-Series aqueous Inks offer optimal optoelectronic performance. Conductive A-series inks are available for spray, rod or slot-die coating. Semiconducting A-series inks are in the final stages of development and are available for sampling.
TechConnect World's Nanotech Conference & Expo is the world's largest nanotechnology event that delivers application-focused research from the top international academic, government and private industry labs. Thousands of leading researchers, scientists, engineers and technology developers participate in Nanotech to identify new technology trends, development tools, product opportunities, R&D collaborations, and commercialization partners.
