Epigem and Dolomite join forces

Royston, UK | Posted on March 11th, 2013

The two companies join forces in the areas of product design and development leveraging specialist capabilities of each corporation, with design and hardware based activities carried out by Dolomite, and polymer process-based manufacturing carried out by Epigem.

Epigem, a leading polymer micro engineering company, develops and manufactures multifunctional microfluidic devices (especially for instrument OEMs) both in low and high volume which Dolomite will distribute as part of its standard product range. Furthermore, the collaboration will enable Epigem to access Dolomite's Productizing Science® capabilities including system solutions, full instrument design & manufacture, and turnkey development, to offer their customers a far more comprehensive service.

Tim Ryan, Director of Epigem, comments: "Dolomite is a world leader in the design and manufacture of microfluidic devices and system solutions. We are looking forward to working with their engineers to secure additional distribution for both companies' products and services."

Dolomite will use Epigem's capabilities to offer bespoke devices for specific customer applications. Lee Jeffries, COO of Dolomite, says "Epigem has specialist polymer processing capabilities which enable Dolomite to add capability to microfluidic chip design. We are looking forward to working with Epigem and distributing a range of devices which would not be possible using normal glass processing techniques".
