Abstract:
The First International Commercialization Forum (Iran Nano Forum 2012) was held in Tehran on Saturday and Sunday (October 6-7, 2012).
The Forum was attended by different Iranian officials and experts like Secretary-General of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council Dr. Saeed Sarkar, Head of Nanotechnology Standardization Committee and the Secretary of the Forum Dr. Ali Beitollahi as well as specialists from 11 countries.
Iran Nano Forum (INF 2012) was held in Tehran International Permanent Fairground to promote the commercialization of nanotechnology-based products that are domestically produced. The Forum was held concurrently with the Fifth Iran Nano Festival and Exhibition.
Methods of commercialization of nanotechnology-based products were discussed in the Forum. Specialists and managers of credible institutes who are experienced in the field of the commercialization of nanotechnology-based products were the key-note speakers of the INF 2012.
Among the key-note speakers who delivered lectures on Saturday, mention can be made of Prof. Teruo Kishi, professor of the University of Tokyo and Advisor of National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan; Dr. Mostafa Analoui, Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences at the Livingston Group, New York; and Prof. Sa'eed Sarkar, Secretary-General of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council.
Other specialists delivered their lectures in the INF 2012 on Sunday, October 7, 2012. Among the key-note speakers, mention can be made of Robert Haak from Singapore, Managing-Director of Insight interAsia, US; Tim Harper, CEO of Cientifica, Britain; Henne van Heeren, Commercialization Advisor in Micro and Nano Industries from the Netherlands, Dr. Sang-Hee Suh, President of the Korea Nano Technology Research Society; and Dr. Sang-il Park, Founder and CEO, Park Systems Corp., Korea.
