Home > Press > British Expert Hails High Volume of Information Exchange in Iran Nano Forum
Abstract:
A senior British expert said Iran Nano Forum (INF 2012) which was held in Tehran on October 6-7 to promote commercialization of nanotechnology-based products, witnessed good volume of information exchange among experts and scientists attending the Forum.
"I think there was very good information exchange stream throughout the Forum," Dr. Steffi Friedrichs, Director-General of Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA), Britain, stated after his speech on the second day of the First Nanotechnology Commercialization Forum.
"And the high level of knowledge and technologies presented in the seminars was significant," she continued.
Dr. Friedrichs explained about his presence in the First Nanotechnology Commercialization Forum, and said, "The Forum was very impressive. It started its activity very well. In the beginning of the Forum, the Secretary General of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council presented statistics about the number of papers, nanotechnology based products, and the Iranian companies active in the field of nanotechnology. It was interesting to me. It impressed me more when I found out that all achievements have been obtained by the Iranian technologists."
She continued, "I heard about when Iran started its activities in the field of nanotechnology. I also heard that this technology had a faster growth in comparison to other sciences. It is perfect! Generally speaking, I think there was very good information exchange stream throughout the Forum, and the high level of knowledge and technologies presented in the seminars was significant."
"People can easily make connection with things like Nano House," Dr. Friedrichs stated after visiting Iran Nano 2012. "Moreover, the number of the participant companies and the quality of their products were very interesting."
Friedrichs delivered his speech on "International Demands and Nanotechnology Commercialization" in INF2012.
She explained, "When you become distant from research atmosphere, you face some issues that are very important in the field of commercialization. We deal with international standards and regulations. We need to know which regulations have been useful during these years. When I was given the opportunity to come to Iran, I wanted to choose a useful subject for the audience. I wanted to speak about the knowledge and experience I had gained in these years."
