Abstract:
David Arthur, CEO of SouthWest NanoTechnologies, Inc., (SWeNT) the world leader in high quality, Single-Wall and Specialty Multi-Wall (SMW™) carbon nanotubes (CNT), is a featured speaker at the Printed Electronics Asia 2012 conference at the Hilton Tokyo, Japan.
This premier industry event sponsored by IDTechEx, runs from October 2-3rd and showcases the latest printed electronics innovations in Asia.
Arthur will be speaking on October 3rd at 3:10 p.m. during the session focused on "The Future of Transparent Conductors." He will discuss conductive and semiconducting CNT and the company's CNT-based V-Seriesand A-Series inks, which are compatible with industrial printing and R2R coating methods. Arthur will address SWeNT's capability to produce CNT of controlled chirality and high purity at commercial scale and affordable prices, for transparent conductive films and semiconducting CNT inks for transistors.
SWeNT will also be participating in the "Demonstration Street" portion of the conference where he will be showcasing SWeNT's printable, stretchable touch sensors as well as flexible/transparent TFT device prototypes.
SWeNT conductive and semi-conductive CNT inks for flexible printed electronics and displays are based on V2V™ Ink technology developed by alliance partner, Chasm Technologies, Inc. Using SWCNTs, these inks can be printed using commercial, high-volume printing methods and equipment, including flexographic, gravure and screen printing.
SouthWest NanoTechnologies, Inc. recently entered into a distribution agreement with Itochu Plastics Inc. part of the Itochu group, to distribute specific SWeNT commercially-produced multi-wall and single-wall carbon nanotubes as well as carbon nanotube inks, pastes and dispersions in Asia.
In addition to his role as CEO of SWeNT, Arthur is co-founder of Chasm Technologies, a consulting firm that helps its clients commercialize new products through smart application of materials science and process technology. Arthur has three decades of experience commercializing products that utilize advanced materials and has worked at Rogers Corporation, A.T. Cross Company, TPI Composites, Helix Technologies, and Eikos.
