Abstract:
Iran Nanotechnology Standardization Committee announced plans to compile 7 new national and 2 international standards.
The issue was raised in the annual meeting of members of Iran Nanotechnology Standardization Committee workgroups which was held on July 7, 2012, in Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council's Secretariat with the authorities and members of the Committee in attendance.
In this meeting, which is held annually by Iran Nanotechnology Standardization Committee, a report was presented about the activities carried out last year, and some of the future projects of the Committee were discussed.
Hassan Pooypooy, the Secretary of Nanotechnology Standardization Committee, pointed to the Committee's activities at national and international levels, and stated, "The Committee has so far compiled 10 national standards in the field of nanotechnology, and it is currently compiling seven other national standards. Iran has also compiled an international standard and is going to compile two more international standards."
Pointing to the future programs of Nanotechnology Standardization Committee, he considered the following programs among the future projects of the Committee: supporting the development of safety network and nanotechnology health infrastructures, national center on nanometrology, nanomark system, and comprehensive databank of safety in nanotechnology.
