INIC Helps Iranian Industries by Supporting Commercialization of Nano Theses

Tehran, Iran | Posted on July 3rd, 2012

To this end, a special section has been designed on the INIC's website to propose subjects for nanotechnology industrial theses. The main core of the plan is the fact that the INIC financially supports the commercialization of nanotechnology theses that are needed by industries.

The subjects are usually needed by the industries. In case university students at higher levels of education obtain laboratorial result or promising technology in this field of study, Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council supports the commercialization of the theses in form of technology sale, technology registration, or the formation of nanotechnology knowledge-based companies.

The proposed subjects include various industries such as building, textile, automobile, transportation and heavy industries, medicine and hygiene, agriculture and packaging, water and environment, composite, and polymer. Over 100 thesis subjects have so far been proposed in this section, and they will be completed in the near future.

The INIC approved the regulations to support industrial theses last year in order to persuade the knowledge-based companies to define research projects to develop their technology, encourage researchers to fulfill the research needs of industries, strengthen the relations between industry and university and guide researches towards applicable activities and entrepreneurship.

The establishment of a website to announce the subjects of the theses is the next step in the commercialization of researches in Iran.
