Abstract:
Two new specialized workgroups titled 'Chromatography' and 'Element Analysis' were added to the specialized workgroups of Nanotechnology Laboratory Network.

Laboratory Network of INIC Forms New Specialized Workgroups

Tehran, Iran | Posted on May 16th, 2012

Among the objectives of the formation of these two specialized workgroups, mention can be made of sharing and exchanging experiences of laboratorial devices experts in the fields of chromatography and element analysis, identifying educational needs of laboratorial devices experts, holding the required educational workshops, and carrying out common projects in order to install and benefit from the capabilities of the devices.

The specialized Chromatography Workgroup will study various laboratorial devices such as liquid chromatography device with high performance, gas chromatography - mass spectroscopy, gel diffusion chromatography, thin layer chromatography, and ion chromatography. In the specialized Element Analysis Workgroup, devices such as quantometer, graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, and atomic (flame) emission spectroscopy will be studied.

Six specialized workgroups for studying the devices TEM, SPM, X-Ray, SEM, and the specialized Standard and Calibration Workgroup had already started their activities in Nanotechnology Laboratory Network.

Iran Nanotechnology Laboratory Network (INLN) was established in 2004 in order to create an appropriate environment for the provision of laboratorial services to academic and industrial researchers, and to better employ the laboratorial capacities of the country. The members of the network are consisted of universities and governmental and nongovernmental research centers and institutes from various cities in the country, which provide researchers with laboratorial services in the form of Nanotechnology Laboratory Network.
