Iran Displays Products in Arab Lab Expo 2012

Tehran, Iran | Posted on May 5th, 2012

The exhibition was held at the venue of the International Exhibitions and Conferences of Dubai from March 26 to 29.

Among the objectives of Iran for participating in this expo, mention can be made of the presentation of capabilities of Iranian manufacturers that produce nanotechnology equipment to other countries, the creation of market for national nanotechnology equipment, introducing the requirements and standards in order to present such products to the international market, and the provision of an appropriate environment for negotiation and cooperation between the Iranian bodies active in this field and the companies that participated in the expo.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, too, presented 15 national laboratorial devices in the field of nanotechnology by attending the Arab Lab Expo 2012, among which the following five devices were specially introduced;

o STM device made by Nano System Pars Company;
o On-table sputtering device made by Pooshesh-haye Nanosakhtar Asia Company;
o IMS device made by Pars Fanavar Taf Company;
o Capillary electrophoresis device made by Fanavaran Nano Meqyas Company;
o Sputtering device made by Yar Nikan Saleh Company.

In addition, the following devices were introduced in form of posters: Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM), Freeze Drying, Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD), Animal Spectrometer, Deep Reactive Ion Etching and Deep Silicon Etching, Electrospinning, Pulse Electrical Explosion (PEE), Producer of PNC and FMI Metallic Nano Colloids, and High Pressure.

The majority of negotiations in this expo focused on issuing sale representatives, direct sale, and bilateral cooperation in order to create a brand. According to statistical studies, the average price of the similar foreign equipments with European, American, and Japanese brands were three times of the domestically-made products. This fact plays an important role in the introduction of Iran to the international markets in the field of nanotechnology devices.
