Abstract:
SouthWest NanoTechnologies, Inc. (SWeNT), the world leader in high quality carbon nanotubes (CNT), will demonstrate new carbon nanotube applications for Printed Electronics and Touch Screens at IDTechEX Printed Electronics & Photovoltaics USA (Booth F107) at the Santa Clara, California Convention Center.

SouthWest NanoTechnologies Exhibiting Carbon Nanotube Applications for Printed Electronics and Touch Screens at Printed Electronics & Photovoltaics USA (PE&P) (Booth F107) New Data on Printed Carbon Nanotube Applications will be presented by SWeNT Partner Chasm Technologies

Oklahoma City, | Posted on November 21st, 2011

SWeNT will feature applications using its innovative new ink products and other printed electronics applications for its Specialty Multi-Wall (SMW) CNTs. SWeNT's CNT Inks, based on V2V™ Ink technology developed by alliance partner Chasm Technologies, Inc. can be printed using commercial, high-volume printing methods and equipment, including flexographic, gravure and screen printing.

This breakthrough ink technology, combined with SWeNTs unique ability to tailor the synthesis of CNT materials for applications (using its patented CoMoCAT® process) will enable customers to print large area, low-cost devices for a wide range of applications including energy-efficient lighting, affordable photovoltaics, improved energy storage and printed electronics.

Robert Praino Jr., Co-Founder of Chasm Technologies, SWeNTs partner, will discuss advances and innovations for CNT inks in touch panels, on Monday, December 1, 2:45 P.M. (Main Conference, Track 1). His presentation will focus on formulating inks suitable for conventional screen printing techniques as well as new research breakthroughs on its V2V™ Ink technology working with the Center for the Advancement of Printed Electronics, Western Michigan University.

Praino has 35 years of experience developing and manufacturing products utilizing film coating processes. In March 2005, he co-founded Chasm to apply his experience in coated film products and associated science and engineering to develop commercially viable pathways to product applications beginning with a wide range of "nano-materials" and "nano-technologies". The applications for these technical areas have included flat panel displays, fuel cells, photovoltaics, film substrate development, optical film development, carbon nanotube applications, life sciences, and nano-imprint lithography.

IDTechEX Printed Electronics and Photovoltaics USA are co-located conferences and a common tradeshow. The eighth annual Print Electronics USA is the world's largest event on the topic. It covers all the applications, technologies and opportunities for printed electronics in industries such as consumer goods, healthcare, military and electronics. Photovoltaics USA covers all the developments in thin film, organic and printed photovoltaics. Other highlights of the conference include the latest innovations on established photovoltaics technologies as well as emerging ones. The show runs from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1.
