Abstract:
"Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)" is the name of a software presented in the Laboratory section of Iran Nano 2011.
Being able to manage all laboratory information, this software enables the user to easily manage the execution of tests, guarantee the quality, and maintenance and repair work for the laboratory.
The utilization of open source software is among the characteristics of LIMS which makes the developers independent from the software of the producers of programming codes.
Among other options that will be added to the software in the near future, mention can be made of its multilingual function. This software has been currently presented in Persian but in the near future, the software will be available in Arabic and English too.
The software has been designed according to ISO/IEC17025 by using the consultations of representatives from six major centers that are member of Iran Nanotechnology Laboratory Network.
The demo version of Laboratory Information Management System was presented in Iran Nano 2011 by Fanavaran Dena Nafis Company.
