Abstract:
NanoInk® is pleased to announce that it has been invited to join the Illinois Science & Technology Coalition (ISTC) to promote the formation of the Illinois Nanotechnology Collaborative (INC) and help develop the state's nanotechnology workforce. The ISTC aims to cultivate economic development in Illinois by increasing resources for Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) initiatives at Illinois-based institutions and businesses. In addition to nanotechnology, the ISTC is also focused on energy and energy storage, food innovation, biotechnology, and life sciences.
"We are honored to accept the ISTC's membership invitation," said Dean Hart, chief commercial officer of NanoInk. "Illinois is one of the leaders in nanotechnology research and we believe our partnership with the ISTC to promote the need for funding the INC will also enhance the state's ability to grow nano-businesses in Illinois."
"One of the ISTC's main priorities is in nanotechnology workforce development, which is why we are excited to extend a membership invitation to NanoInk," said Ted Fetters, director of program management for the ISTC. "NanoInk is a leader in nanotechnology and has developed and patented several pieces of cutting-edge Dip Pen Nanolithography® (DPN®) instrumentation, as well as the state-of-the-art NanoProfessor® Nanoscience Education Program, which provides valuable hands-on training to students in the field of nanotechnology and prepares them for careers in the areas of biotechnology, materials, medicine, electronics, alternative energy, and more."
