Abstract:
Head of the Technology and Innovation Desk of Scientific and Technological Department of Iran's Presidential Office Dr. Mahmoud Reza Aqamiri announced that nanotechnology constitutes 37% of the international patenting of Iran.
"Last year, 37% of the international patenting of Iran was focused on nanotechnology due to the activities of Corridor for Technology Services to Market in Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council," Aqamiri said.
He also stated that the establishment of Technological Services to Market Institute by Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council was an effective step in order to facilitate and to provide support for the commercialization of nanotechnology.
"With the help of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, we are expanding this section to all strategic technological councils," Aqamiri continued.
Pointing to the role of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council in nanotechnology success in various fields such as drugs, filtration, and especially the commercialization of technology, he stated, "Technologists used to have smaller opportunities to file their patents in international firms. It has recently been facilitated by the activities of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council through the provision of support for patents registration in Europe and the United States, especially for those that can be presented in an international level."
Dr. Aqamiri continued, "Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council was the first organization in which Corridor for Technology Services to Market was established in order to facilitate and support the commercialization of technology and to provide services for technology development."
