Abstract:
University of Shiraz is due to hold the 10th National Conference on Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from September 16 to 17 to provide a good background for information communication among researchers and to conduct practical projects in the field of materials engineering.
Identifying industry needs, learning about the latest scientific and research achievements in materials engineering and developing communications among faculty members, students and specialists comprise the most important aims of this conference. The application of nanotechnology in materials, including biomaterials, is one of the issues to be addressed in this conference.
Three workshops within the scope of nanotechnology which will be held subsidiary to the conference, are as follows:
Workshop on materials simulation at nanometric scale by molecular dynamics simulation
Workshop on experiments design by Taguchi's method
Workshop on nanotechnology and analysis of nanomaterials
Other subsidiary conferences include suppliers of laboratory equipments related to materials engineering, and Fars province's industrial achievements in materials and metallurgical engineering.
